Our comprehensive mission as a church is stated on our “Mission and Vision Statement” page: “The Mission of Bethesda Baptist Church is to evangelize the lost, edify the saved, and exalt the Lord.”

But the word “missions” is now more commonly associated with reaching out beyond ourselves with the Gospel message both locally and globally.  In that sense Bethesda seeks to be a mission-minded and mission-action church in many ways through our giving, going, and praying.  As a Southern Baptist church we gladly promote our special offerings and emphases (North American Mission Board and International Mission Board).  We also participate through the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina and our local Johnston Baptist Association.

Through our Men’s Ministry, Women’s Ministry, and other groups (children and youth) various mission projects are engaged.  There’s a place for everyone to serve.  Our mission is to be on mission with God.
